I am reading a Wigglesworth message that reminded me of some truth and I have had to blog it – if I have become too satisfied with my comfortable life it is highly likely I have become less interested in ‘crying out’ to God. ”Crying out” really depicts desperation or high emotions. Rom 8:1 says that there is no condemnation for those who walk according to the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit means we have taken on a different life as we are no longer of the flesh because the Spirit of Christ lives in us – a NEW life. If we get comfortable with the world and lose the desire to ‘cry out’ it seems to me like we have settled for a life that is not ours anymore… like a person who has a liver transplant but then starts to drink again. Sickness follows. If we have called on Christ for new life then He has made a new and therefore it is required that a new life of seeking the source of our life is a must!

Amen! We are new, and new life is available to us.
It seems wasteful to me to have been given this new life and then we squander it by living the way we have always lived and never embracing the fullness of what He has sacrificially given us.
